These two have counted down the days until they got their braces put on.. and now they are so bugged! I knew that this would happen and I kept telling them to be prepared for some pain for a bit, but they were too excited to listen! Their diet now consists of applesauce, protein shakes, spaghettio's and soup. They walk around all day complaining that they are starving... and I just keep telling them that pain is the price of beauty! :)

Here is Mr. Eliot at his Blue & Gold Banquet. This is the event where the boys have to come up with a cake according to the years theme. This years theme was "Things I do with my Family". So... this is the cake that Eliot and I came up with. I swore last year that I would start thinking about what we were going to do this year so that it would be the absolute best... but of course He and I were making it the day before! But I have to say that for 1 days work... turned out pretty darn cute! At the end of the dinner and the judging of the cakes the Judges then cut them up for the families to eat and I swear Bubba's heart broke! He was so distraught that they were cutting up all his hard work! I don't blame him... he spent lots of time on the clay snowboarders. Great job Bubba-man!

So my GREATEST Hubs flew my Sister in for the weekend... without my knowledge mind you... so that we could spent the weekend in Spokane at the ULTRA swanky Davenport! He made all the plans and reservations without my knowledge?!?!?! He is the best.,.. Love him! So Lauren and I spent the weekend being pampered with pedicures, massages, room service, and then spent the other hours eating at great restaurants, shopping and seeing movies. Could possible be the best Birthday so far... Hard to beat that Ike... :) I suggest you start working on next year... like right now!

Colt and Case got a New Jeep and thought that they would try it out in all the snow we got this past week. Ethan... the GREAT big brother that he is was more than happy to take them... he also did a lot of getting them un-stuck! Sweet boy he is. ;)

Eliot played in the Snake River Shootout tournament this past weekend with his team the Express. The were undefeated this tournament which made them the CHAMPS!!! This was the second tournament in a row that the Express won... Good work EXPRESS! Unfortunately... these are the only pictures that I got of Eliot. All of his games were being played while Avery's were... So Ike went to Eliot's and I went to A.j.'s. The next tournament we will switch so I can capture Bubba in his glory! He made 16 point in one game!!! :)

We had the Hansen Family over to celebrate with us. Colt loved the hoop that he got! If you will notice in one of the pictures Colt is wearing big boy undies! YES! Halloween was too fun this year! Look at my kids.... they had a great time and they were so funny! Here we are trunk-r-treating... Colt LOVED trick-r-treating. Isaac followed him around just laughing... he would just sneak to the front of the line get his treats then take off running to the next car! Case on the other hand hated it. He would not put on his Batman costume! Avery was Superman, so.... he, Case and Colt were the super hero's. :) Ethan was the FUNNIEST old man with a cane and I swear he never came out of character! Eliot was of course the chubby sumo wrestler. The girls in the shot were a couple of my young women girls that I love so I had to take a pic of them. I also threw in a couple pics of the Halloween decorations that I made this year. I hosted Halloween Bunco at my house and so I was super motivated to make my house very festive! Case had a Halloween theme Birthday party this year. We had the Hansen's over for dinner and then opened presents and had cake. I made the spider cake and think it turned out pretty darn cute... even if Case kept calling it a Bee! My camera was accidentally left on after Eliot's football the day before so... these are the ONLY pics I got of the night! BOO! Happy #2 Birthday Case Kelley... we love you so, so much!

BUBBA'S BIG WEEKEND!...

One big weekend for Eliot. He played in the championship game at the University of Idaho's football stadium and they won! His team ended up being undefeated for the whole season! Both he and Isaac had a great year. He also spoke in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday at church. He did so well and was so excited to do it! Mom cried the whole time... and look how handsome that boy is! ;) We love you Eliot and are so proud of all your accomplishments!

Ethan is going out for 7th grade Presidency! Here is a shot of one of many posters that we made the first of the week. Every day he wore a "just do it" shirt. Today is election day, so Ethan, A.J., Eliot and I ALL wore our "just do it." shirts to the school to pass out suckers. The suckers read.... Don't be a sucker VOTE ETHAN. We spent celebrating the 24th of July with the Frazier clan in Park City. We did all of the great things that you do there... like the Alpine slide, Coaster and the Zip Line. Colt LOVED both the coaster and the slide, while Case hated both. They are so very different that way. Colt is my dare-devil while Case is afraid of EVERYTHING! Even the ride up on the ski lift Case was screaming while Colt wanted to stand up! I loved seeing Lynzi with her baby bump AND finally meeting River's new baby Stella. How adorable is she?!? We had the greatest time... just looking at these pics makes me miss all of them. :( I love you all!

Colt was practicing his football moves on his little brother and instead of his usual "WOO HOO" when he completes a tackle... we heard screams. Poor kid... teeth almost went through his lip! But as you can tell by evening he was better... obviously, by looking at the Cheeto cheese all over his face! Oh, and Colt was was WAY more concerned about his puppy's "boo-boos". This is what happens when Mom has to wash the puppy AT LEAST every other day!

Eliot and Avery both played in a tournament in Boise last weekend. Isaac's family drove up from Utah to see the boys. It was great having them there! Colby Graduated! YEAH! His parents had a open house Graduation/Birthday party for him... There was a lot of celebrating going on. We had such a great time... my boys especially. All my boys hung with the graduating seniors, even the babies. Colt and Case were diggin' the swing set, they loved playing basketball with the brothers and also looking for spiders (their newest love!) Of course the only shot that I got of the Man of the Hour... Colt did not smile. Sorry. But Colby looks great... as always :) Congrats Colby. So I was just looking through some old pictures and came across this one... I sat there looking at it thinking what sweet, cute boys they were. As quickly as that thought ran through my head I was quickly reminded of the awards that Ethan and Avery were given on the last day of school. Remember those days as a kid when the teachers would award kids at the end of the school year with titles like "Best Smile", "Most Helpful"???... well these two were given some interesting awards. This year we are planting a garden! All thanks to Robin and Regan for letting us use a plot of land at their farm. Ike and I are so pumped! That must mean we are old right?... Excited about gardening??? oh well! :) I have to say that Mr. Ethan is my BIGGEST help. Always has been. He loves projects and a garden is one huge project! This was actually about the third time he had made the trip to the farm to help. Oh! and Ethan actually even pretty much made dinner before we even left! I was busy getting some presents put together and asked if he would start the meat... so I stood at the table doing my thing while coaching him through making the meal. Awesome kid he is! Avery is pretty awesome also... but notice he is no where near the dirt. He somewhat makes himself scarce when it is time for work! ;) Although, I have to say that he did help with the babies... keeping them entertained... or at least tried to. I am sure that Eliot did not mind that his allergies were too bad for him to come... :)

If you ever run into Colt you will know that his puppy is not to far behind. This stuffed dog was given to him by our friends Teag and Ashley and he does not let his "WuWee" out of his sight! There has been times when we have lost him for like minutes and the whole house freaks out and goes out on a desperate search til found. Colt would be lost without him... :) This day I was looking through pictures on my camera and he kept telling "WuWee" to say CHEESE! Then he would have me show the puppy the picture after... Ethan's school held a country swing dance-off and guess who won?...Ethan!!! They held the dance "Grease" style.... you know tap on the shoulder and you are out. The last one standing was Ethan and his partner Kaitlyn. I loved that Ethan was actually talking, looking and laughing with her. If you could have seen the other kids they did not even make eye contact! Super funny! Here are a few pics of the big win. I tried to get one of the two of them together... but they both ran off to celebrate with friends. Also I took a picture of Hunter standing before the dance with his partner... look at his face... So this was an activity that we did where the girls got to dress, act, eat and play like they were in Kindergarten. Of course they loved it! A.J. played his first tournament of the season in Arizona with the Titans. It was beautiful weather... perfect for baseball. We played on fields that were replicas of MLB fields. The boys loved the big green monster on the Red Sox field. Hunter and Avery also really enjoyed our pool... :)

Ethan ran track this year and really excelled at it! He had practice everyday after school for two hours and I never heard one complaint. We even went out of town for spring break to an indoor amusement park and he was wanting to stay home so that he could go to the optional practices! Eliot competed this year in the Pinewood Derby. The car that Isaac and Eliot made did not win.... although it was not the slowest! Next year Isaac said he is getting with our friends the Winns (Eliots BFF Brinton) and making the car. This was the second year that Brinton came in first. They must be doing something right... and they plan on learning some tricks!

Every year the scouts have a contest to see who can come up with the most creative cake. It can be anything that has to do with camping. Now I was unaware that it was such a huge deal and quickly Eliot and I threw a cake together at the very last minute. Ummmm... lets just say that it is a huge deal and mom's are planning for weeks in advance. So Watch out troop 248... next year we plan on winning!

This year Eliot's program was on the U.S. Presidents. They each had to give facts about their president and at the end they all sang the "Presidents Rap". Eliot was excited for weeks before and had all his moves planned out in advance. He did awesome!

Hello! Look at all the snow! Colt and I went out and shoveled for hours and hardly made a dent... so we decided to get cousins and Aunt Sher to come out and play with us. We had tons of fun making snow angels and riding the four wheeler...but the fun came to an abrupt end when we lost feeling in fingers! I would say that Colt and I are really not use to the snow anymore. We get pretty much no snow where we live in WA and so maybe we were just not quite accustomed to it! Ouch!

Eliot, #21 on the LC ELITE, celebrating after one of the two tournaments that he and his team have won this year! Eliot has really come to love basketball this year. He now says he wants to be an NBA player when he grows up... but I am sure that will change quickly when football season starts. :) I personally think that is has something to so with the snazzy uniforms they have. They even have shooting shirts to wear before the game... who knew of such a thing??? Even big brother Avery is a little jealous! Congrats Bubba on all your success with your team! We love you!

Isaac and I spent a few days in New York this past December. We had a great time... in fact... I could have stayed a week longer! This is a picture of our hotel in Time Square and a shot of our view from our room. It was awesome being right in the middle of everything!

While in NY we saw Wicked and also Lion King. Both were great of course... but I think I liked Lion King better. We also ate at some pretty great restaurants (YUM!) It was fun to spend time with the Hansen's...Robin and I and her two boys had fun shopping and sightseeing.

I have always wanted to see NY at Christmas time...here is the famous Christmas tree. Not quite as grand as I had expected!

KLONDIKE DERBY...

This past weekend Ethan went with his scout troop on a overnight camp out called Klondike Derby. I was very worried sending him since it had rained for two days and there was no end in sight.... but he had the greatest time! The next day they had some sort of race pulling/pushing sleds in the snow to all sorts of different stations where they learned different skills. I was sent pics of Ethan from my friend who happened to go up Saturday morning and the caption in the email read, "Ethan is doing great... He is a machine!" I was unsure of what that exctly meant until he got home and told me all that he had done. The best compliment about Ethan was given to me the next day at church when the Scout Leaders wife came up and asked if Ethan had a good time... I said yes and she then told me that her husband had come home and said "If I had 12 Ethans in my troop then things would be so easy" I was so proud and could not wait to tell Ethan!

COEUR D'ALENE...

Stryker... the company that Isaac works for had its Christmas party this year at the Coeur d'Alene resort. The resort is already so beautiful sitting right on the lake, but at Christmas time when they have the lake all lit up it is amazing! We had dinner on a boat that took us around to see all of the lights and even took us to see Santa at the "North Pole". The room that we stayed in over looked all of the lights ... so I tried to get a good picture, but they are blurry! But it gives a pretty good idea of the view. I also took pictures of the lake in the morning with all of the boat docks. We had a such a great weekend away...in fact we plan to take the boys next year to ride on the boat to see Santa at the north pole! But then again... it may just be the two of us. ;) I love you Mr. Kelley... thanks for the great weekend!

BAND CONCERT...

Avery and Ethan both play in the band... Avery plays the sax with his buddy Blake and Ethan plays the trombone with his cousin Hunter. This was their Fall concert and by the looks of it they were not too excited to have the Mom there documenting this event. AND by the way... the boys left my house that morning in their normal school clothes on with all of their concert clothes neatly packed in a bag to change. Apparently... Ethan did not get the strict memo to be sure and put on his black socks with his slacks! I had to let the world know that I had NOTHING to do with the white socks and black pants!!! HELP!

My goal is to try and get caught up on my blog! We have been so busy...which means lots of pictures, but that also means little time to blog. Here is Halloween... again just a few months late :). We did the whole trunk-r-treat thing. I decorated my trunk and it turned out pretty darn cute! I would even dare say with all the scary music playing from my cd player AND the strobe lights flashing that by far my car was the spookiest!!! Colt and Case were Nemo and Squirt from Finding Nemo...their fav. at the time! The big boys were a mix of things and were only dressed for a few minutes I swear! Uncle Heath was also here to join in the fun... And with Uncle Heath along for the ride we are always in for a party!

I figured that since it is now December and before I can even think to put up Christmas pics I better hurry and get all my Fall stuff done. We took our kids and the Hansen kids to a local farm to pick pumpkins, ride horses, catch a hay ride, make a carmel apple and throw each other off hay stacks Good times had by all!

Am I aware that Case's Birthday is Oct. 23rd and do I realize that it is mid Nov? I do... I am just so, so slow! Without the "gentle" nudging of family members to post pics it may not have even happened! So to "you all"... thanks for the help!
Can you believe that my sweet Baby is one?!? This past year has gone by so fast! We love, love him so much! What a sweet little boy he is. He brings so much laughter to our family! I love seeing how close he and Colt have become and it is absolutely my favorite thing to see them play together! I hate to admit that I do get slightly jealous that he usually picks the Daddy over the Momma... but I keep telling myself that there is plenty of time to sway him to be a Momma's boy rather than a Daddy's boy! We love you Case Kelley!!!

THAT TIME OF YEAR...

It is football season around here... so that means that we eat, sleep and breathe it! Even Colt knows what time of year it is. These pics are from two different occsions where he has put Eliot's gear on and just strolls around the house like it feels totally right to have this stuff on. :) One of the pics he is even naked, having just gotten out of the tub and then he ran to put back on the helmet which Mom MADE him take off in order to bathe!

Ethan, #19 and Avery, #5, play for the Clarkston Cougars. Isaac and Uncle Regan are the coaches so that makes it extra fun for them. They also have lots of friends from church, school and teammates that are on their other sports team... basketball, baseball and such. So far we are undefeated! Go Cougars!

We had one big weekend with Isaac's Bantams playing their first game, Ethan & Avery playing their first game, Eliot playing his first game of the season AND Ethan and Avery passing the Sacrament for the first time...(They were ordained to be Deacons the week before by Isaac)...So my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law flew out for the weekend to be here for all the firsts! We had so much fun having them here. The boys were thrilled to have them at all their events. Also... Grandma Mugsy and Grandpa Hansen happened to fly out that same weekend so we were extra lucky to have them here also!

Ethan and A.J's team got together at Robin and Regans house to go over film... but mostly just to swim, have a BBQ, play ping pong, and build a fire in the fire pit. Colt thinks that he is one of the players. He sat on the serving table while Isaac served the boys with one hand in the bowl of Cheetos and the other hand in the Doritos, all while drinking his Fanta. Could have been one of the best days of his life!

Eliot, #7, playing for the Falcons this year... He LOVES that he gets to play tackle football this year. Oh, and it does not hurt that his best buddy Brinton, is on the same team. As of right now all of Eliot's dreams have come true!

Even when we are not "officially" playing in a game... we are STILL playing!

Ike is coaching the defense for the Clarkston Bantams this year. As of right now we have won 2 games, lost 1. These boys love Isaac and Isaac loves coaching. I sometimes get "slightly " bugged about all of the time that this coaching job takes... but I quickly remind myself how much joy Ike gets out of it and try not to be bugged! I have to remember that I married into this football life... so I best get used to it!
